Remember Niger Coalition was established by a group of people who heard and responded to God’s call to help establish more Christians schools in Niger. They work alongside Nigerien churches who have a vision for quality education in their communities. The leaders of denominations and community churches in Niger have a vision for Christian education in their country. They understand from first-hand experiences how Christian education changes lives.
The need for quality Christian education in Niger is great. Niger currently ranks as the least developed country in the world –189th out of 189 – on the UN’s Human Development Index List. It is also the least educated country on the list, with only 50% of children attending primary school and 19% attending secondary school.
Founded in 2009, Remember Niger Coalition began with three Nigerien church partner schools serving 400 students. Today, they are supporting over 5,000 students and partnering with 19 schools across the country of Niger.
