Solar-powered wells are needed at 2 partner schools
As summer comes to an end, store shelves fill with backpacks, lunchboxes, notebooks, and pencils. Families across the United States are getting children ready for the first day of school.
Our partners in Niger are also preparing for students to return to school. This year, we’re focusing on one life-giving need: clean water.
Will you help us provide solar-powered wells at two partner schools?
Without clean water, children struggle to learn. Before classes even begin, some children have already spent part of the morning searching for water. Others leave school during the day to fetch water for their families, missing valuable time in the classroom. Unsafe water also contributes to illness, making it difficult for students to attend school regularly or focus on learning.
When a school gains access to clean water, the change is immediate:
• Students stay healthier and attendance improves.
• Children spend more time learning and less time searching for water.
• Schools are cleaner and better equipped for learning.
• Girls have greater access to a safe and supportive learning environment.
Your generosity has helped transform Guidan Arna and Aguie Schools by building classrooms and sponsoring children to attend school. Now, we’re inviting you to complete that transformation by providing another essential foundation for learning: clean water.
Thanks to generous donors who have already contributed, $25,500 is the remaining amount needed to complete the construction of two solar-powered wells.
Here’s how your gift can help:
$50 helps fund drilling
$100 helps fund water tower construction
$250 helps fund training and maintenance
$500 helps provide solar panels
Every gift brings us one step closer to completing these wells and giving hundreds of students the opportunity to learn in a healthier, safer environment.
Will you please give the gift of clean water?
Thank you for helping provide something every child deserves: a safe, healthy place to learn.
